The TUM Gender Equality Officer offers research stipends to support outstanding women in science. The award is named after the first female scientist, Laura Bassi, to earn a professorship (Physics) at a university in Europe.

Application Guidelines

The application is only possible with a cofinancing through a Chair or Department of the host institution or other third-party funds (see Agreement to Cofinancing). 

Application period: The next application dates are expected to be in spring 2017. Information will be advertised here on time.


Two copies of the complete application with all supporting documentation are to be submitted by post or via E-mail. Please use the following documents:

Applicants should submit their completed application form and all supporting documents to TUM Gender Equality Office. Application materials may also be submitted per email. Signed applications must, in this case, be scanned or bear a digital signature. After receipt of all application materials, the TUM Gender Equality Officer, Dr. Eva Sandmann, will meet with applicants in person.

The certificates will be presented exclusively after submission of the final report.
